As a mobile car detailer I am drying multiple cars a day. I personally love large plush microfibre drying towels and wouldn't use anything else. Though most of my customers use a leather chamois and always ask if its safe to use on their cars. It's an important stage or the wash process so I've created a pro and con list to help the drying towel vs. chamois debate. ![]() DRYING TOWEL Negatives: -Expensive, around $30 -Hard to ring water out Positives: -Scratch free -Dry your car quickly and saves time -Picks up any left over contaminants ![]() LEATHER CHAMOIS Negatives: -Can scratch your paint -Takes longer to dry your car -Tend to dry out over time Positives: -Cheap -Small and fits into all nooks -Easy to ring out ![]() PRO DETAILER TIP: You can wash them your laundry after use. I always have one on me and sell for $30 the next time you book in your detail. Scott GC Car Detailing Gold Coast
